France has probably the hardest road to get to the finals while many would argue Portugal had the easiest road. Without a doubt, France are the favourite to win this tournament and to win this game. Portugal could in theory steal a game but simply put, Portugal have not played great most of the tournament. Sure they have their goals and Ronaldo can score at times but they haven't faced a team that resembles anything as close to France. France had to get past Germany to get to this stage and had a tough set of group games to deal with.
